Deep Kalra is our Founder, Group Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, and was appointed to our board of directors on October 9, 2001. Mr. Kalra’s responsibilities as Group Chief Executive Officer include executing our business strategy and managing the overall performance and growth of our company.

Mr. Kalra has over 24 years of experience in e-commerce, sales, marketing, corporate banking and financial analysis. Prior to founding our company in April 2000, Mr. Kalra worked with GE Capital India, a subsidiary of the General Electric Company, where he was Vice President, Business Development.

He has also worked with AMF Bowling Inc. and ABN AMRO Bank, previously. Mr. Kalra serves on the board of The IndUS Entrepreneurs (TIE), New Delhi (NCR) chapter and was their immediate past president.

He is on the founding team of Ashoka University in Sonipat, near New Delhi and serves on their Governing Council. Mr. Kalra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, India, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.


Rajesh Magow is the Co-Founder and CEO-India at MakeMyTrip-Ibibo Group merged entity. He has served in many senior capacities as CFO and COO before taking on the role of CEO India in 2012. He is responsible for the company’s business strategy, eco system management and operational leadership.

Rajesh has played a leading role in consolidating the company’s market leadership position in India’s Online Travel Industry. MakeMyTrip, under his stewardship, has not only attained market leadership position in the considerably mature space of air travel but has also strengthened its dominant position in the lowly penetrated Indian Online Hotels space. He has been instrumental in driving the company’s Hotels and Packages business on a high growth trajectory. He has also been one of the key contributors in multiple strategic fundraising activities, including securing investments from China’s largest online travel agency Ctrip and South Africa’s Naspers, along with other public investors. He was instrumental in successfully effecting the company’s recent merger with the Ibibo Group as well as the recent capital raise round of $330M completed in May, 2017.

Rajesh has the distinction of strategizing and leading the successful transition of MakeMyTrip into a NASDAQ listed public company in August 2010 – an IPO that was executed in record time and was ranked as one of the best performing IPOs in the US in 13 years. Within MakeMyTrip, he also acts as a mentor to the senior management team and other high-potential team member.

Mr. Magow is a recipient of many awards, including the Bloomberg Award for the Best CFO in India. Rajesh has also served as an Independent Director at Flipkart.

With over two decades of corporate experience in the information technology and internet industries, Rajesh served as the CFO and acting CEO for the India operations of eBookers.com, now part of Travelport. He started his career with Voltas and has also worked with Aptech Limited and Quantum in senior management positions.


Mohit is the Company's Group Chief Financial Officer. He has been with MakeMytrip for more than 6 years and has been closely involved in supporting the inorganic expansion through mergers & acquisitions, as well as overseeing the Company’s financial accounting & planning and legal compliance.

Mohit has about 23 years of corporate finance leadership experience, including roles of Finance Director at Kohler India and Financial Controller at Pepsi Co. India. Other career assignments include various F&A portfolios at Seagrams, Colgate Palmolive & Nagarjuna Fertilizers.

Mohit is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a Cost Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. In his free time, Mohit enjoys watching movies, listening to music and travelling with family and friends.


Mohit Gupta is the Chief Operating Officer - Hotels & Holidays. He is responsible for the P&L of Hotels and Holidays of MakeMyTrip and Goibibo. A member of the Company’s strategic think-tank, Mohit joined MakeMyTrip in 2008. He joined MakeMyTrip as CMO, responsible for driving marketing initiatives for all segments of MakeMyTrip’s hybrid business model. Prior to the merger with Ibibo Group, Mohit was the Chief Operating Officer, Online.

Presently he is in charge of developing and growing the Holidays, Hotel & Mobile offerings – which are key business focus areas for MakeMyTrip. His strategic focus is on expanding the Company’s foot-print through traditional channels such as retail and affiliate, as well as configuring new products through alliances and innovations to enhance access to popular destinations and open new destinations for Indian travelers.

With over 17 years of experience in the field, Mohit has handled sales, field marketing, brand marketing and channel leadership assignments across many levels and geographies. Prior to MakeMyTrip, he served as VP - Marketing at PepsiCo International for India Beverages where he was responsible for developing the 7UP brand franchise and the Lime Lemon category for Pepsico's South Asia Business Unit. Mohit started his career with Voltas Ltd. as a Management Trainee in the Air Conditioning Business Division.

Mohit holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat and an MBA (PGDM) degree from IIM, Calcutta. He is an active member of the International Advertising Association. He is a keen photographer and practices yoga to relax.


Sanjay is the Group Chief Technology Officer. He leads overall technology for MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo and Redbus. Prior to the merger with Ibibo Group, he was the CTO of MakeMyTrip.

Sanjay is responsible for developing and executing our global technology strategy for the combined entity, and planning ongoing technology innovations for the company’s continued success. Sanjay has brought on-board an extensive product leadership and management experience in marquee companies like Yahoo, IBM, Infosys, Oracle, and Netscape in the US and in India.

With an overall experience of 25+ years, Sanjay brings along significant expertise in product and platform engineering, including architecture, user experience, site operations, product management and product strategy.

Sanjay has a Masters in Computer Science from University of Louisiana and completed his Bachelors’ degree in Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology Mesra – Ranchi. Some of the causes that Sanjay cares about are: animal welfare, arts and culture, education and environment. Sanjay is also a self-proclaimed connoisseur of single malt whiskeys, and an amateur dog trainer. In his free time, he enjoys listening to classical music – mostly Mehdi Hasan’s ghazals, Indian Classical instrumental/vocals, and Western Classicals including Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Vivaldi.


Anshuman Bapna is the Chief Product Officer – New Developments. As part of his role, Anshuman leads the agenda on new strategic product development for the organization. He has been with MakeMyTrip for about 2 years and has played a major role in revamping the brand’s technology face – web and app. Prior to the merger with the ibibo Group, Anshuman was the Chief Product Officer at MakeMyTrip.

Anshuman’s work experience spans over two decades where he has worked with companies like Deloitte and Google. His venture MyGola, a travel planning app based out of Bangalore, was acquired by MakeMyTrip in 2015. He is an IIT Bombay graduate in Electrical Engineering and did his MBA from Stanford Business School.

Anshuman enjoys science fiction, backpacking and adventure sports. He is also a co-founder and board member of Democracy Connect – a platform that brings India's elected representatives together with exceptional individuals from all walks of life.


Ranjeet is the Chief Business Officer – Corporate Channel. He is responsible for setting up and leading the new division for the company which addresses the corporate travel needs of our customers.

Ranjeet joined MakeMyTrip in May 2014 as Senior Vice President & Business Leader – Flights. He took on the role leading of the Holidays business in January 2015 and prior to the merger with the ibibo Group, Ranjeet was the Chief Business Officer and head of the Holidays business unit at MakeMyTrip.

Ranjeet has over 16 years of business experience at Procter & Gamble where he last served as Asia Channel Leader based out of Singapore. During his tenure, he handled various roles across product categories (consumer goods), geographies as well as multicultural teams. Prior to his regional role, Ranjeet served as Associate Director - Sales (India) responsible for identifying key business drivers and establishing the process that helped business deliver on topline as well as bottom line goals. He has also served as Head of Market Strategy for Gillette Asia.

Ranjeet holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and a MBA degree in Sales & Distribution from Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. A music enthusiast and an active vocalist, he loves to jam with fellow musicians in Gurgaon regularly. Ranjeet is also a fitness freak and a mathematics whiz. He is the co-founder of Bhagta Bharat, a non-profit society which helps underprivileged kids in Delhi NCR to hone their athletic skills.


Saujanya Shrivastava is the Group Chief Marketing Officer and responsible for overall marketing function of MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo and Redbus.

Saujanya Shrivastava joined MakeMyTrip in January 2015 from Bharti AXA Life Insurance where he was the CMO. He was responsible for the Digital business, Persistency, Customer Service , CRM, Analytics, Brand, Media , PR and Insights.

He has nearly two decades of extensive marketing and sales experience in FMCG, E-commerce & Financial Services. He has also been associated with FutureBazaar.com as its Business Head and helped scale the ecommerce company in a short span of time. He has also worked at PepsiCo wherein he was the custodian of the flagship Brand “Pepsi”. He was instrumental in the conceptualization, development and launch of large scale Cricket Campaigns around the ICC World Cup & Champions Trophy as also the Pepsi My Can packaging Innovation.

Saujanya has previously worked with Citibank and Cadbury India. He holds an MBA degree from IIM, Kolkata and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.


Yuvaraj is the Chief Human Resource Officer at MakeMyTrip.com where he leads HR for the company including its overseas entities. He joined the Company in May 2014. His key focus areas include Talent Management, Leadership Development, workforce management and driving MakeMyTrip's relentless efforts on being both a great place to work and a contributor to community developments.

Yuvaraj has nearly 16 years of corporate experience following five-and-a-half years of service with the Indian Armed Forces. He worked for Asian Paints Limited for 9 years in varying roles including Head HR for the Mumbai plant. Next, Yuvaraj spent three years with The Oberoi, New Delhi as Director – Human Resources. In 2010 he joined PepsiCo India as Vice President HR for West and Central India; later he led HR for All India Sales and Organisation Capability (foods business), and also served as Director – Organisation Capability (PepsiCo India region). Yuvaraj has extensive experience of handling all domains of HR including Employee Relations, Change Management, People Development, Culture Build and Corporate Social Responsibility. He is passionate about OD and learning & development and has been accredited as certified trainer for various courses and programs.

Yuvaraj is an MBA in HR from IMT Ghaziabad and graduate in Industrial Psychology from University of Allahabad. He loves indulging in freewheeling discussion and debate on Indian political system, likes old Indian melodies and spends his spare time watching talk shows.


Sanjay is the Chief Operating Officer – Air & Ground Transport. He is responsible for the P&L of Air and Ground transport business.

Prior to the MakeMyTrip – Ibibo Group merger, Sanjay was Co-Founder & CEO at the Ibibo Group. He joined the Ibibo group in 2009 and played an important role in setting up the e-commerce site and spearheading its growth to a level where today it is one of the leaders in the competitive OTA segment in India.

Sanjay Bhasin is a media veteran with 23 years of rich and diverse experience in the industry. He has worked with some of the country’s reputed media giants in all spheres of the trade including print, television, the online space and new media. He has also been instrumental in the launch and development of various successful projects across segments.

Sanjay began his career with Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd in 1990. During his seven-year stint with the company, Sanjay made very valuable contributions to the escalation of the business. He was a part of the launch team of Times FM and later the television division of the Times of India Group. He also overlooked sales rights for major TV events such as Femina Miss India, Filmfare Awards and popular international sports events.

Prior to joining the Ibibo group, Sanjay was associated with The Walt Disney Company, India as Vice President of Ad Sales. He re-launched and brought the Disney Channel and Toon Disney to India, accelerating revenues for the entire company and making his role extremely vital to UTV Movies and UTV World Movies. As Director of Ad Sales at MTV India, Sanjay launched MTV Roadies, MTV Style Awards, MTV Youth Icon Awards and MTV Music Awards-IMMIES. He has been a part of several other reputed media brands like Indiatimes.com and Buena Vista TV, India.

Sanjay has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the prestigious Hans Raj College, Delhi University and an MBA from the equally reputed SP Jain University, Pune. After setting foot on the corporate ladder, Sanjay’s career and accomplishments have consistently soared with every passing year. His passion for creating value in new media and leading high-performance teams is what keeps him motivated to consistently reinvent himself and the businesses he drives.

He loves to take on new challenges, roads less traveled and difficult revenue targets in order to prove his mettle and spirit. When Sanjay isn’t mulling over his next big business ideas, he loves to read and travel with his friends and family.


Ritwik Khare is the Chief Business Officer –International Hotels & Key Accounts. Ritwik heads the international hotels business for the MakeMyTrip and GoIbibo brands, apart from leading the business development efforts for key accounts and international hotels supply. Ritwik also heads our DMC operations based out of Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

He has been working with MakeMyTrip for over 5 years as a lead for Business Development and hotels supply teams and has also served as Business Head for Hotel Travel, a MMT Group company based in Thailand.

Prior to this, Ritwik has had stints with Citibank and Aegon Life Insurance. In Citi he was part of the Mortgage business working in the areas of Sales, Credit and Operations in multiple stints. He led the National Alliances for Aegon apart from setting up the operations for South India for them. He had also previously worked at HSBC and Evalueserve. Ritwik has also served as President and Convener for the Delhi branch of Nehru Bal Sangh - an internationally recognized Voluntary Organization. A Gold Medalist and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, Ritwik graduated from Sri Ram College Of Commerce, University of Delhi. In his free time, Ritwik likes doing road trips and enjoys swimming and playing table tennis.


Parikshit Choudhury is working as Senior Vice President – Lodging Partner Services. Following the merger between MakeMyTrip and Ibibo Group, he leads the domestic hotels, holidays and alternative accommodations supply and business development teams of GoIbibo and Makemytrip. Prior to the merger, Parikshit was leading the Global Category, Seller facing Product and Global Supply teams for goibibo.

Parikshit has nearly a decade and a half of large PnL / Sales / Business Development management experience across geographies with organizations like GE, goibibo.com, magicbricks.com, MRF Tyres etc.

He has in-depth understanding of business strategies, people management & PnL management in internet and brick & mortar companies. An expert in data driven decision making, he is equally adept in devising broad level strategies and then translating them into executable action items.

Parikshit has an MBA from ITM group of Institutions in Marketing Management and has attended NASPERS Catalyst Leadership Program in association with Harvard Business School. Besides being an avid internet reader where his interests revolve around business, technology, history, sports, organizational behavior etc., in his free time, Parikshit likes to try his hands on table tennis and spend quality time with his family.


Deepak Tuli is the Senior Vice-President - Growth Business. Deepak joins us from Goibibo.com, which he co-founded in 2009 and has also served as the COO. His new role at MakeMyTrip will focus on building and implementing strategies for growing new business lines in the accommodations segment for the company.

With over 10 years of e-commerce experience, Deepak has expertise in Mobile Platforms, Digital Marketing, Product Management, P&L management, CRM etc. He has built multiple online businesses / business units in India. Early on in his career, Deepak was part of the launch team of Yatra.com, wherein he was responsible for setting up the non-air business.

Deepak is an alumni of Naspers Harvard Program Executive Management, General Management and Sky Line Business School.
